I'm not sure how I feel about bringing the Mary story to an end, but it seemed like it was time. I hope it was satisfying for you all who were following it. I think I'll start another story soon. I kind of like the idea of the serialized 1-2 minute story. It's fun to write in this manner.
Most days, I had no idea what was going to happen next when I got to a place where it seemed like I should stop for the day. This was really fun for me, too, although some days it took a hot minute for me to figure out what should happen next. Sometimes, I just sort of started writing and let the muse take me where it wanted to go.
Hopefully the fan that inspired this story doesn't start acting up again.
As I mentioned yesterday, allergies have been kicking my butt so I'm going to keep this brief. We had a really nice weekend. I am so thankful for having peaceful, loving people in my life. There was only one moment where I wanted to punch someone, but I am pretty certain that motherfucker is too dumb for a punch to do any good.
Besides, I'm too old and too smart to go to jail because someone can't hold their liquor.
My students were better yesterday than they had been all of the previous week, so that was nice. I hope it continues. Only 43 days left in the school year. I started teaching in July, online, so it seems like a long time already. If I was still teaching online, I would be done in about 30 days, so you take the good with the bad, I suppose.
Have a great day, everyone.
See you tomorrow.
What an interesting and exasperating project to be involved with: The Exterminators. I should probably tell this story one day.
