Dear Friends,
I am super stoked to report that walking is back on the daily agenda. The fellas and I got together this morning for a warm walk around the block, and it is about time. My soul needs a recharge, and my walking friends are the charger.

What a weekend, too.
I wrote a lot. Thousands upon thousands of words for an upcoming New Times cover story. It’s going to be a good one, I think, if I say so myself. It’s been a while since I’ve had to crank out so many words for one thing and it felt good.
There was also music on the agenda. I jammed with two friends on Saturday for some giggles and it was a good time. One of the friends I had jammed with before and one I had not. We made some good, fun noise and will do it again.
On Sunday, Bobby, Michael, and I got together to work on a couple of cover tunes that we are doing for Fervor Records. We are going to record them in a little less than a month and they will probably be used by one of Fervor’s clients for some commercials. The tunes are really fun to play and I think they are going to turn out to be pretty darn tasty.
After we finish them, we will turn our sights on getting ready for our big “Thank you” show in October at the Valley Bar. We’re not calling it a final show because we will probably get sucked back in and do another show at some point, but maybe not. If you want to see us, you should attend the show. It’s going to be a good one.

I made Liam help me figure out the bass line for one of them. The kid is such a natural musician. I am so proud of him and hope he sticks with it. He plays for the right reasons and is so damn talented. He picked up things in the song that my ears were not able to hear. I owe him big time for the help.

Wonderful Monday, what else do you have in store? A show? Yes. I’m going to hit Linger Longer tonight and see Astrologer play. It’s going to make for a long day, but I’ll survive. It’s not like I have to manage 30 9-year-olds or anything.

One last thing…
See you tomorrow.
This is where we jammed on Saturday.
