6-25-2025: Hello Again. Maybe Just for today.

Dear Friends,

Today would have been my grandfather's 100th birthday so it seems like as good a day as any to chime in again.

100 years. It's crazy to think of. Tom G. was a heck of a good man and it is hard to believe he has been gone for 18 years. His wife, Amy, just celebrated her 99th birthday, but since I am in Maine, I could only wish her a happy birthday over the phone. Actually, at the time, I wasn't even in Maine.

We were in New York visiting friends and taking Liam to New York City for his graduation present. What a crazy trip it was. I should probably write about it, but not today.

I've been really needing the release that only this blog gives me of late. I should be working on fiction, but instead, I've been reading a lot and binging Boardwalk Empire and You while being up here. We've also been slowly but surely taking apart Doug's life. I'm not a fan, but it has been super cathartic, especially for Rhondi, and the house is in transition.

I don't think I'll see you tomorrow, but I'll write again.
